Rooster Rock Park
The trail where photos were taken is colored red.
You see more of the gorge before you begin the hike
The hike begins at the far east end of the parking area
The trail is basically level the entire distance
The undergrowth is dense as you hike along the trail
In season there are flowering plants and stinging nettles
This once was a sandy island swept by spring floods
Now it is overgrown with local plant life
At the far east end you get a view of the gorge
Angels Rest on the right, Hamilton Mtn left of center
Now the loop back
There are unusual plants along the trail
Be very careful of the stinging nettles
Don't wear shorts or you'll get stung
A glimpse of Crown Point
Almost to the end of the loop
One last view before you return to your vehicle
