The trail where photos were taken is colored red.
I begin the Wahclella Falls Trailhead
I followed Gorge Trail 400 east past west and cross Tanner Creek
The Old Columbia River Highway used to take this path
Here the trail leaves the old highway
It is kinda steep but for only a short distance
This switchback gets you headed back in the right direction
This is Gorge Trail #400 and leads to the base of Munra Point
In season there are lots of wildflowers to enjoy along the way
The trail is mostly in dense forest for the first mile or so

There is a portion of this trail that used to be a road
Just keep straight ahead
Here you pass an opening where you could park if you'd rather

Please know that this trail is steep and dangerous to footing

Finally, you break out into the open and a bit level for a few feet
Sorta level for a short distance - enough to catch your breath

In a little over a mile you will climb nearly 1600 feet!
