The hike to Warren Lake begins at the Strawberry Creek Trail head
You actually start the hike on the Mt Defiance Trail, but not for long
The trail parallels the freeway for just a bit before starting to climb
Now that you are warmed up, get ready, get set, CLIMB!
Only the Munra Point hike is steeper than this one, but its only 1 mile long
You get to climb for the next 4 and a half miles... take plenty of water!!

Unfortunately there are NOT very many switchbacks on this hike... its just straight up!
Here is a great view of the gorge, looking west at Wind Mtn on the right
The trail straddles Starvation Creek Ridge most of the first 3 miles
