Now here's a fun little hike. The trail begins at the suspension bridge over
Eagle Creek just past the fish hatchery. The hike is kinda steep, but it is
fairly short and therefore quite doable by most any hiker.
After you cross the bridge you climb to an elevation of about 900' through a series of switchbacks and through a
variety of forest cover. There a many view points along the way, and even though you
hike beneath power lines for the last part of the journey, it is more than worth it.
The wildflowers are excellent during April thru June.
By the way, when you get to the viewpoint, notice the cement post (pillar). This is
gun mount that was used to protect Bonneville Dam during WWII. Interesting, huh?
