The trail where photos were taken is colored red.
This hike follows the old Hwy 14 for about three quarters of a mile
The Ball-headed Cluster Lily or Ookow as some call it
Fern Leafed Desert Parsley along the road/trail
Tapertip Onion wildflower along the road/trail
This is the gate where you leave the paved road and begin the trail climb
The wild cucumber is really like a cucumber - note the blossom insert
The trail meanders gently at first
The Bi-Colored Cluster Lilies are common in spring

The trail begins to get a bit steeper
There are occasional switchbacks which make the climb easier
The trail continues to climb
You may need to duck as you walk beneath this large tree
The trail goes to the right of this tree then behind it

The beautiful Lupine wildflowers are plentiful in spring
Another great look east at the Columbia River Gorge
Now the trail gets seriously steep
And now the floral displays get seriously beautiful
The trail continues to climb
Balsamroot and Lupines line the path
Here is a view south at Mt Hood in Oregon
Coyote Wall is called that for this reason
The wall is steep and dangerous, so use exteme caution
