Balfour-Klickitat State Park
The trail where photos were taken is colored red.
A paved path allows physically challenged users to enjoy the park
Even so close to the town of Lyle, Washington, one still can see deer in the park
In late spring and summer the trees provide shade and comfort from the heat
The trail makes a skinny loop
The trail descends a bit, but not much
In summer the weeds hang over the trail
There is a picnic area at the end of the trail overlooking the Klickitat River
Wild ducks can be seen from along the fenced area near the picnic area
All winter Bald Eagles can be seen from the fenced area
Looking north along the fenced area from the picnic area
I think these geese are domesticated
Now the trail follows the Klickitat River toward the Columbia River
Looking back north
A view of the Klickitat River from the trail
A boardwalk keeps your feet dry in a marshy area
Looking eastward as the trail heads west
The blue Bachelor Button wildflower is common along here
Looking north from the trail within a small forested area
Now the trail returns to the parking area
