This ocean shore hike along the Tillamook Bay
Spit. The trail criss-crosses the spit on
several occasions, but I make a long loop out
of the hike and found it very rewarding.
From the parking area, I followed the obvious trail directly to the beach.
Then I walked north along the shore, enjoying the wonderful smell, sounds,
and scenery.
At the jetty, be careful to not twist an ankle as you climb up onto the
jetty, and don't even try it, if you are not sure of foot. Follow the
jetty east and it becomes an old access road. Follow this old road back
to the parking area where you began the hike.
